Fruitbat's Vegetarian Recipes

Once upon a time, long before there was a Web, there was a part of early Internet called Usenet.  It was the grandfather of today's email lists.  One of the thousands of discussion groups was rec.food.veg (which means it disucssed vegetarian cooking).  And for a glorious year or so in 1990, a wonderful cook named Fruitbat (fruitbat@tardis.computer-science.edinburgh.ac.uk)
posted vegetarian recipes with brief and witty comments on his life, philosophy, cat, boyfriends, and parents.

We carefully downloaded the recipes all those years ago and they have moved from computer to computer each time we upgraded.  But I've found them compiled and it includes his very funny account of Christmas dinner at his parent's house.  Click here for the link.  And if the link doesn't work, let me now and I'll post the file or send it to you.

Don't read them if you are offended by gay humor and lifestyle.

I have not found many references to Fruibat on the web, but one of the few calls him the "late, great Fruitbat."  To Fruitbat, if you ever read this, thanks for being a grand cook & Usenet treasure!
